Obtain a map; observe all of its features, and answer the following
questions. Answer the questions in complete sentences.

11. Each lab group will select a national park to travel to. The following
information should be included in a chart:

a. The name of the national park
b. The route taken, give highway names and direction headed (east, west,
north, south).
c. Add up the total mileage of travel to and from the park.
d. Calculate the time it would take to travel to and from the park if
you traveled five hundred miles a day.
e. Calculate the cost of gas if the price of gas was $1.20 per gallon.
The car will get 20 miles to the gallon.
f. Calculate the cost of the trip if each person cost fifty dollars
a day for food and lodging. Plan on a group of four going on the trip.
g. List the points of interest you will see along your route according
to the map. (National Parks, rivers, large mountain systems, etc.)

U.S. map, list three features of information that aid a traveler.
